15th August. One date, a day that comes back every year to remind us that we live in an independent India but the freedom was not easily achieved. We had to earn it in exchange of thousand of lives, million sacrifices, and young blood. But, have we fulfilled the dreams of those who dedicated their lives,  for this nation? India has produced visionaries, philosophers, authors, scientists, leaders, and achievers, who have enriched India and the entire world, but we have failed to follow their teaching and apply them in our lives.

In 70th Independence Day of India, we compiled the 15 inspirational quotes by Indian scholars and heroes which can make a difference for individual and collective growth and make us a better person.

They may kill me, but they cannot kill my ideas, they can crush my body, but they will not be able to crush my spirit.

Rabindranath Tagore

“Let us unite, not in spite of our differences, but through them. For differences can never be wiped away, and life would be so much the poorer without them. Let all human races keep their own personalities, and yet come together, not in a uniformity that is dead, but in a unity that is living.”

Swami Vivekananda

Take risks in your life if you win, you can lead! if you lose, you can guide.

Saratchandra Chattopadhyay

A person whose house is only open on the west can’t see the sun rise at dawn; it’s only seen when the sun sets at dusk. If one tries to compare the color and appearance of the two, one will go on arguing forever… …The fault lies not with the vision but with the closed windows. If you look out of only one opening till the day you die, you’ll never see anything new.

Kabeer

Listen to your own Self. If you listen to that Self within, then you find the Truth.

Swami Vivekananda

Do not lower your goals to the level of your abilities. Instead, raise your abilities to the height of your goals.

All Birds find shelter during a rain. But Eagle avoids rain by flying above the Clouds. Problems are common, but attitude makes the difference!!!

Kalpana Chawla

The path from dreams to success does exist. May you have the vision to find it, the courage to get on to it, and the perseverance to follow it. Wishing you a great journey.
